Life at Camp

Camp days are full, but balanced. One of the best parts of residential camp is learning to live on your own time, following a daily rhythm that gives you structure, while still leaving room to adjust as needed.

We run two schedules: Junior Camp (JC) and Senior Camp (SC)—but because we live in community, there are plenty of moments where campers overlap, connect, and share camp traditions together.

Why families love Marymount's Summer Camp

For more than 85 years, families have trusted Camp Marymount for a summer experience that’s simple, joyful, and meaningful. Our technology-free environment helps kids be present, try new things, and belong.

A day in Junior Camp (JC)

A typical JC day looks something like this:

  • Morning: Wake up before 8:00, head to the flagpole for morning prayer and raising the flag, then breakfast.

  • After breakfast: JC gathers for a short prayer service, then it’s time to clean cabins and bathrooms before heading out for two activities.

  • Midday: Back to the flagpole for the Angelus, then lunch and rest period.

  • Afternoon: Swim lessons, then another activity—followed by L’Option time on most days.

  • Evening: Rinse-off showers, meet at the flagpole to lower the flag, then supper.

  • Night: A big group activity, showers, bedtime routine, and lights out around 9:00–9:30 PM.

A day in Senior Camp (SC)

SC follows a similar rhythm, with a few key differences:

  • Earlier start: Seniors begin a bit earlier (it’s a longer walk to the flagpole and dining hall).

  • Morning: Breakfast, then one activity, followed by swim lessons, rinse-off showers, and cabin clean-up.

  • Lunch overlap: SC heads up the hill to meet JC for the Angelus and lunch.

  • After lunch: SC has an after-lunch prayer service, then a couple hours of activities until rest time.

  • Late afternoon: Sometimes SC joins JC for L’Option; other days they do their own thing.

  • Evening together: SC meets up with JC at the flagpole before supper and the night activity.

  • Lights out: Typically 10:00–10:30 PM.
