About Camp Marymount

87+ years of faith, fun, and lifelong friendships

Camp Marymount is a Catholic, nonprofit overnight summer camp in Fairview, Tennessee. On 350 acres of rolling, wooded hills, campers unplug from screens and reconnect with nature, build confidence, and find friendships that last long after summer ends.

Marymount through the years

A tradition that began in 1939

Camp Marymount has been part of Middle Tennessee summers for generations. Here’s the short version of how Camp Happy Hollow became Camp Marymount.

Values

Camp Marymount’s values are rooted in faith, shaped by tradition, and lived out through everyday camp life. We believe the outdoors is a powerful classroom, one that builds character, resilience, and gratitude. We prioritize a technology-free environment so campers can be fully present, form real friendships, and grow through shared experiences, responsibility, and play.

Faith

Faith is central to who we are. As a Catholic camp, we welcome children and families of all faiths while honoring our Catholic heritage through prayer, reverence, and a focus on spiritual growth.

We aim to create a place where every camper feels safe, known, and encouraged, where kindness, respect, and service are practiced, not just taught.

Community

Our commitment to community is what makes Marymount feel like home for so many generations. Campers learn to live together, care for one another, and contribute to something bigger than themselves. We work to keep the Marymount experience accessible through scholarships and support, and we’re proud of the alumni, families, and staff who continue to strengthen this community year after year.

Our Mission

Camp Marymount’s mission is to provide a traditional, faith-rooted camp experience where children grow in character, community, and confidence through life outdoors. We create a technology-free environment that encourages authentic friendships, personal responsibility, and spiritual formation in a setting that is welcoming to families of all faiths while honoring our Catholic heritage.

As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we’re committed to preserving the traditions that have shaped generations of Marymounters and to making camp accessible through need-based support and scholarships. Whether a child comes for a first summer or a family returns year after year, our goal is the same: to help each person leave Marymount stronger, more grounded, and more connected to God, to others, and to the natural world.

The people behind the Marymount experience

Camp Marymount is led by a small, dedicated team with deep roots in the camp's mission. From former campers to longtime staff, our leadership brings decades of combined experience in youth development, outdoor education, and community building. Together, they carry forward the traditions that have shaped Marymount for 87+ years.

Lifelong friendships

The Marymount Spirit Stays with You

Camp Marymount is the kind of place where friendships don’t end at pickup day. Campers meet their people here—then keep the connection going through summers to come, with letters, phone calls, and reunions that turn into lifelong bonds.

Something special happens out here that’s hard to explain, but easy to feel, and it stays with you long after camp is over.
